If you’re a passionate food scientist with a keen eye for process optimisation and a data-driven mindset, this is your chance to take the lead, drive innovation, and shape the future of our client’s production capabilities.The Role – Process ManagerReporting to the Head of Technical, this hands-on leadership role will see you working at the cutting edge of food science, conducting lab assessments, factory trials, and statistical analysis to optimise processes, enhance product quality, and drive sustainable innovation.You’ll manage and develop a Process Technologist, ensuring continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and technical excellence across all aspects of production. Whether you’re troubleshooting complex challenges, refining processes to reduce waste, or launching new products, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to exceed expectations and deliver excellence at scale.Key Responsibilities – Process ManagerLead product validation, commissioning, and value engineering to enhance production capabilities.Provide technical expertise in food science, ensuring critical process parameters optimise key product attributes.Execute lab assessments and factory trials, using data to generate insights that drive decision-making.Work alongside Production and Engineering teams to troubleshoot and solve technical challenges.Support the transition of new products from concept to full-scale production, ensuring seamless integration and efficiency.Manage and develop a high-performing Process Technologist, fostering growth and technical expertise.Maintain the highest standards in food safety, compliance, and sustainability.Contribute to our Brighter Future Sustainability objectives, helping us innovate responsibly and efficiently.What We’re Looking ForProven experience in a food/process technologist or R&D scientist role.Background in value optimisation and continuous improvement.Experience working in fast-paced NPD/EPD environments, meeting strict deadlines.Expertise in food science, statistical analysis, and process validation.Proactive, self-motivated individual who thrives in data-led problem-solving.Strong people management skills and a passion for developing talent.Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.Industry experience in food manufacturing is essential.
