Position Overview

Putnam is seeking a dynamic and experienced Value Communications leader to spearhead the growth and development of our Value Communications team within the broader HTA and Market Access division.

W e seek a candidate with extensive experience successfully leading the development of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) dossiers for Europe an and International markets. We partner with leading life science companies to secure optimal reimbursement by generating impactful health economic evidence and developing persuasive value narratives. Our work encompasses in-depth analysis of disease burden, clinical trial results, patient-reported outcomes, and cost-effectiveness. From initial data insights to final reports and presentations, you will contribute to every phase of the market access journey.

This role will collaborate closely with the HEOR, PRO, RWE & Biostats, Strategy Practices, as well as the wider Inizio business , provid ing expert ise across the full product life cycle journey.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The main responsibility of the role is to lead the development of Value Communications projects that include the development of HTA dossiers, global value dossiers, value-propositions, SLR’s, TLR’s, manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and value message development/communications .

Additional responsibilities will include line-management an d mentorship of the value communications team and a contribution to business development. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the successful leading a value communications team within a consultancy environment.

  • Leadership and management of value communication projects
  • Support and contribution to other HTA and Market Access projects
  • Client engagement and account management
  • Leading the training and development of the value communications team and peers within the wider organisation
  • Study design, development and implementation across a variety of therapeutic areas
  • Leading the development of abstracts and manuscripts as lead or co-author
  • Development of proposals

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • PhD or MSc in life sciences
  • 7 + years’ experience in value communications, medical writing, medical communications, or market access value communications role
  • Experience in line management of a Practice/ Team is essential
  • Experienced in developing reports, dossiers, and peer-reviewed manuscripts, market access communications (value messages, global value dossiers, HTA dossiers, value slide sets, and briefing books)
  • Significant experience in NICE, GBA, and/or JCA dossiers a plus
  • Experience of proof-reading, editing, and formatting documents
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and a high standard of written work
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, drug development process, clinical trials, and global payer environment
  • Experience of managing projects, including budgets and resource requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration among multidisciplinary teams by applying communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects
  • A can-do approach to all tasks and commitment to delivering timely high-quality results
  • Fluency in written and verbal English
  • Excellent MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
  • Alignment to Putnam Values.
