Job Description

Currently, we have an excellent opportunity for aPrincipal Psychologistto join our client. This is a part-time role where you’ll be working with individuals who have a range of complex mental health needs. If you’re passionate about delivering high-quality care and making a real difference in people’s lives, this is the role for you.

Salary:Up to £49,600pa (FTE Up to £62,000)

Position:Principal Psychologist

Hours:32 hours per week (part-time)

Setting:Specialist Mental Health Services

Location:Somerset

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work as a team Psychologist within a multidisciplinary team (MDT).
  2. Conduct psychological assessments and provide therapy to individuals and groups.
  3. Develop care plans collaboratively with the MDT.
  4. Provide training, supervision, and consultation to colleagues and teams.
  5. Evaluate service quality and contribute to development and clinical research.
  6. Present and disseminate outcomes via conferences and publications.
  7. Support individuals with complex mental health needs, including self-harm and aggression.

Minimum Requirements:For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:

  1. HCPC registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist qualification.
  2. At least 3 years’ experience in a clinical or mental health setting.
  3. Training in complex therapies like Schema Therapy, DBT, or Cognitive Analytical Therapy.
  4. Passion for working with people with complex mental health needs.
  5. Ability to treat issues like self-harm, aggression, and substance abuse.
