About the role:

There is an exciting opportunity for a Principal Medical Writer to join our growing team.

As our client portfolio continues to grow, and we deliver cutting edge content and experiences across a range of innovative therapy areas, we seek highly motivated and experienced people who can help us build long-term strategic partnerships.


Key responsibilities:

  • Use your extensive writing experience, expertise, insight and care to create accurate, engaging and compelling content.
  • Play a key role in building strategic plans with our clients
  • Collaborate professionally with cross-functional teams to develop a wide range of marketing assets and medical education resources.
  • Ensure content complies with international laws, standards, and codes of practice for medical communications.
  • Apply a good understanding of biomedical statistics to accurately communicate data in a meaningful and correct way.
  • Use your familiarity with the essential documentation associated with evidencing claims, to accelerate and support the creative process to successful completion.
  • Be able to efficiently evidence your work with precise referencing.
  • Proofread and quality assure content for accuracy, style, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Mentoring others, collaboration with contractors.

Desirable attributes:

  • Minimum 3 years of successful medical writing achievement in a commercial healthcare industry setting.
  • Familiarity with our target audiences.
  • BSc, MSc, or PhD in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, biotechnology, pharmacology.
  • Regulatory or Quality experience is desirable e.g. ISO 9001, MDR, ISO 13485, GMP, 21 CFR Part 11.
  • Exceptional writing skills in the English language.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to proofread your own and others' work.
  • Experience with industry-standard controlled document systems such as Veeva.
  • Experience creating content for digital/online and omnichannel outputs
  • Experience in line-management and development of other medical writers
  • Ability to build therapy area expertise in narrow timeframes
