Principal Hardware Design Engineer - Medical

Location: Hybrid in London

Company: Join a dynamic team at a leading medical device company based out of London and Oxford.

They are looking for a Principal Hardware Design Engineer to join their business that changes the lives of patients through advanced medical technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design and development of complex electronic circuits (analogue, digital, and mixed-signal systems) for medical devices.
  2. Ensure the performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance of hardware solutions by driving design innovation, overseeing rigorous testing processes, and implementing best practices in hardware development.
  3. Oversee PCB design and layout, ensuring signal integrity, power management, and manufacturability; evaluate and select components.
  4. Drive the integration of hardware with software and mechanical components to develop fully functional systems.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  1. Degree in electronic or biomedical engineering, or a related field.
  2. Demonstrable experience in hardware design, development, and testing, in the medical device industry.
  3. Proven track record of designing and delivering complex analogue, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
  4. Experience with PCB design tools.
