About the RoleThe Francis Crick Institute is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our Chromosome Segregation Laboratory. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will contribute to our research on molecular mechanisms that underpin faithful chromosome segregation during cell division.We are looking for a highly motivated and talented researcher with a strong background in molecular cell biology, biochemistry or biophysics. You will lead your own projects, contribute to other projects on a collaborative basis, and may guide undergraduate or PhD students in their research.The ability to work in a team is essential. The post holder should embody and demonstrate our Crick core values: Bold ; Open ; Collegial .Our research focuses on unravelling the fascinating mechanisms by which structural chromosomal proteins accomplish their tasks. We investigate molecular mechanisms that underpin faithful chromosome segregation during cell division using yeast and other eukaryotic model systems.You will have the opportunity to work with advanced microscopic techniques, quantitative biochemistry and biophysics, and state-of-the-art technology.
