We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Gartree, a category B men's prison, located in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
In this role, you'll work with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
Hours This is a full-time role, working an average of 37.5 hours per week. The Pharmacy team works a rolling rota over 4 weeks, with 3-4 shifts per week. Working hours are from 7.30 am to 5.00 pm, with an exception to work 1 weekend in 4.

    This is a full-time position, with an annual salary up to £33,232 per annum, depending on experience.

    Main duties of the job As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will include:
    Providing outstanding, patient-centered care.
    Delivering non-judgmental care within professional standards.
    Building strong links within teams, partners, and stakeholders, and providing a trusted service.
    Promoting best practice, evidence-based care, and continuous quality improvement, while communicating complex or sensitive information with empathy.
    Sharing information related to pharmaceutical products, medicines management, drug regimes, and health education.

    Requirements Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
    Up-to-date with CPD
    Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
    General GCSE or equivalent education
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    Experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment is desirable but not essential.
    Job description Job responsibilities As a GPHC-registered pharmacy technician with Practice Plus Group, you will be an integral part of the pharmacy team and a valued member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Your duties include:
    Providing high-quality, patient-centered care, listening to and acting on patient feedback.
    Ensuring medicines management is safe and secure, maintaining patient records to standard, and following SOPs.
    Delivering care within professional standards, including medication administration and cost-effective prescribing.
    Inspiring excellence through strong team links and providing trustworthy services.
    Promoting evidence-based practice and continuous improvement, communicating empathetically with patients.
    Sharing information about pharmaceuticals, medicines optimization, drug regimes, and health education.
