Full time 37.5 hours per week, over 7 days
We require a qualified GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician to join our enthusiastic and hardworking team.
You will have either a BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences, or NVQ level 3 in pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent and be well motivated with a professional attitude. You will be adaptable, a good communicator and easy to get on with.
Main duties of the job

Duties will include the dispensing of prescriptions and participation in the established ward and clinical pharmacy service, including the development of 'eMM and eDS dispensing for discharge' schemes.

You will be a key member of staff and actively support and develop Pharmacy Services whilst facilitating prompt discharges.

Person Specification

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 with BTEC in Pharmacy Services with appropriate underpinning knowledge or equivalent
Be registered with GPhC
Be accredited through either a previous employer or a higher educational establishment as being competent to undertake dispensing accuracy checking.
Evidence of further education in clinical pharmacy practice
Good all round technical knowledge and basic clinical knowledge
Experience

Ability to work under own initiative and with supervision
Prior experience of work in a hospital pharmacy or community pharmacy
Able to meet deadlines whilst paying attention to detail
Satisfactory employment history
Ability to cope with occasional distressing circumstances eg when dealing with seriously ill patients
Experience in Ward Based Pharmacy Services eg 'PoDs', 'One-stop'
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
