Were looking for a proactive and patient-focused Qualified Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly team in a non-dispensing GP practice . This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a varied and meaningful role at the heart of primary care.

Main duties of the job

About The Role

As a key member of our clinical support team, youll work alongside GPs, clinical pharmacists, nurses, and admin teams to improve medicines safety, support long-term condition management, and streamline repeat prescribing systems.

While we are anon-dispensing practice, your pharmacy expertise will be essential in ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines across the practice population.

About Us

Our practice is a three partner led practice which prides itself on consistent patient care and enabling a good work/life balance for all staff.

The practice has 8000 patients and his been providing care since 1993. It's a great practice to develop your skills and share your knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and process repeat prescription requests efficiently and safely
Support medicines reconciliation following hospital discharge or care transitions
Assist with audits, medication reviews, and drug monitoring
Help implement medication safety alerts and formulary changes
Optimise prescribing practices under guidance from clinical pharmacists and GPs
Support patients with medication queries, helping them use their medicines effectively
Work closely with local pharmacies and the wider PCN team

About You

Registered with theGeneral Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)as a Pharmacy Technician
Experience working in a community, hospital or primary care setting
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Confident using digital systems such as EMIS
Motivated, adaptable, and keen to support the development of safer, smarter systems
