Position: Panel Wirer
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 depending on experience
Location: Essex
Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00am - 16:00 - Early finish Friday

Proactive are currently recruiting for an experienced Control Panel Wireman to begin work for a leading manufacturing and engineering company based in Essex. This is a permanent position and an exciting role working for a market leader within the automated machinery and pharmaceutical industry offering ample opportunity for progression and development.

The role will involve working with the Automation Technicians and Design Team in the production of electrical wiring diagrams for company control systems.

Responsibilities:

Working as part of the automation team to wire and instal electrical control panels.
Cross referencing of required panel components against wiring diagram and control panel layouts.
Assembly of control panel enclosure: building plinths, assembling bays and side panels.
Layout chassis plates in line with blueprints and work alongside Electrical Draughtsman to accomplish best panel layout and specifications.
Assembly of components on to chassis plate and fix accordingly.
Using the issued wiring diagrams wire the control panel working with the Electrical Design Draughtsman and Automation Technician.Experience:

Essential

Formal Electrical Engineering Qualification (e.g., apprenticeship)Desirable

Familiarity with Automated production machinery or other similar capital equipment.
Worked in a project environment in cross-functional project teams.Personal Attributes

Should have a systematic approach to work with high attention to detail.
You should be flexible and have a willingness to learn and apply yourself to areas you are not familiar with.
A string desire to improve and develop within their area of work.
Able to work effectively with people across departments and shop floor staff.
