The Role:

To repair a damaged vehicle/part or to remove any vehicle parts to enable the paint process to take place and to rebuild the vehicle/part after paint to its original specification.

Responsibilities:

· To carry out the repair of a vehicle/part to the agreed standard

· To act on any repair/build up related duties in line with the Body shop process and as directed by Line Management

· To manage the repair/build up process in accordance with the correct procedures for the products being used.

· To ensure that your own skilled abilities meet the needs and demands of the Products being used and the standard of repair/build up that needs to be achieved.

· To ensure ones own understanding of the repair/build up process and products being used is current and up-to date with any changes that may have been necessary to meet manufacturing model changes , supplier or general enhancements

· To prepare the vehicle/part for the paint process and rebuild to specification in accordance industry approved guidelines

· To ensure that any vehicle/part has been supplied to the paint process area in a suitable state to ensure the agreed quality standard can be met.

· To report any issues with quality of vehicle/part, products or the preparation of same, which will prevent the agreed quality standard being achieved

· To keep the repair/build up area , products and any equipment supplied to a high standard with regards housekeeping

· To manage ones own time and efficiency by providing line management with start and finish times, take breaks when requested and log onto every job card worked, unless otherwise stipulated.

· You must ensure at all times that you abide by the employees responsibility to Health and Safety and that the correct P.P.E. is worn

· To ensure the quality of service described and laid down in the various working procedures is adhered to and continuously improved upon where possible.

· Ensure a safe and clean working environment is kept at all times.

· Ensure communications flow to Terminal Manager.

· To be aware of the Company’s responsibilities in relation to Health and Safety and its accreditation to ISO 9001:2000

· To have awareness, knowledge and training pertaining to, all environmental issues and aspects within ISO 14001:2004.

The Candidate:

• 3+ years’ experience in motor trade                                                                                                                      

• Ability to work as part of a team                                                                                                                

• Ability to work under pressure and hit targets                                                                                                                  

• Good clear communication verbally and written                                                                                                              

• Good communication skills            

• Level 3 City and Guilds or other qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair                                                                                                            

• Good education in core GCSE subjects                                                                                                                  

• Valid full driving licence      

• To be able to work within the team and play key role for completion of all vehicles                                                                                               

• To have the ability to communicate with other team members, also workshop/accounts teams and management team
