Company Description

ASR Group’s companies have more than 150 years of experience taking sugar cane from the field to the table. Our expertise in every aspect of the cane sugar process is without equal. We are the largest vertically integrated cane sugar refiner in the world. Our nine refineries are found in five countries across the globe and collectively can produce more than six million tonnes of sugar. We also own and operate sugar mills in the United States, Mexico and Belize. As an expert in raw sugar procurement, our reach spans more than 40 countries and our network of partners and suppliers has never been stronger. Our brands are leaders in their respective markets. We sell our branded and private label sugars, sweeteners and syrups in the grocery, food service, industrial and pharmaceutical channels in the Americas, Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, India and Asia.

SHIFT: Mon-Friday

  • Week 1 - 3 dayshifts (We,Th,Fr)
  • Week 2 - 3 nightshifts (Mo,Tu,We)
  • Week 3 - 2 dayshifts (Mo,Tu) & 2 nightshifts (Th,Fr)
  • Revert to Week 1 etc.

POSITION SCOPE

To safely operate, maintain and improve a packing line to meet the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) plan cost effectively and to agreed customer requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Operate packing line(s) and other offline equipment to safety, environmental, quality, hygiene and output standards
  • Complete required quality checks, compare results against specified parameters and follow Company Quality procedures for action where required
  • Adjust plant when appropriate to ensure agreed specifications are maintained
  • Use FLT’s to supply lines with packaging equipment
  • Use knowledge and experience to anticipate problems where possible and to solve problems when they do occur using relevant CI tools
  • Record quality and performance data, and monitor line performance trends and material usage taking corrective action where appropriate
  • Clearly communicate handover information and issues within packing team of Operators and Maintenance Technicians
  • Involvement in continuous improvement projects where appropriate

Essential Education Requirements

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills, educated to at least 4 GCSEs or the equivalent
