Veterinary Ophthalmology Clinician Position for Maternity Cover (1 year) at Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists in Alton, Hampshire, United Kingdom

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a board-certified or residency trained ECVO or ACVO colleague to join our excellent and dedicated Ophthalmology Service. You'll become part of our Specialist-led multi-disciplinary clinical team, which includes highly motivated residents, specialty and general interns, highly skilled nurses, and incredible support teams. The advertised position can be tailored to either full-time (four days per week) or part-time.

Our service boasts fully equipped Ophthalmology-specific consulting rooms, as well as an Ophthalmology surgical suite complete with slit lamp biomicroscopes, direct and indirect ophthalmoscopes, a fundus camera, an anterior segment camera/macro-lens, tonometers (tonovets and tonopens), gonioscopy lenses, an ERG machine, an operating microscope with a viewing screen, a phacoemulsification machine, and a cryotherapy unit. Our Ophthalmology service also conducts regular BVA/KC/ISDS EYE testing sessions. Additionally, we have a 1.5T MRI, a state-of-the-art CT scanner, digital radiography, and high-end ultrasound units. An in-house laboratory with a cytology microscope is also available. We collaborate extensively with other services within the hospital to optimize patient care.
