Reporting to the Manufacturing Director, you will beresponsible for operations management of the Manufacturing teamproviding leadership of the daily, weekly, monthly managementprocesses. Providing the right level of recruitment of the team,contributing to the process/operational inputs to projects,delivering the agreed manufacturing organisation to operate thefacility compliantly. The Process Leader has first line accountabilityfor identifying efficient ways of working in the manufacturing areaunder their control. Work with the Head of Primary Manufacturing tointerpret data, set the strategy and to set targets for areaperformance in Quality, Service, Cost, Safety and Peopledevelopment. Responsibilities You will assume responsibility forall aspects of manufacturing area under their control, supportingbudgeting, CAPEX programme development and improvement programmes.Product Direct Manufacturing activities to deliver customer needsand achieve financial targets, in compliance with all regulatorystandards. Oversee maintenance programmes, inventory controls andvalidation activities. People Plan and implement talent management,development activities and skills training for all of theManufacturing teams in collaboration with local functionalmanagers. Promote engagement and provide leadership to provide anorganisation focused on safety, quality, customer deliver and cost.Appraise area performance against goals and communicate progress tosenior management. Manage the recruitment and development of directreports. Quality Ensure all manufacturing activities comply withFDA, EU and other regulatory authorities, relevant Acts, legaldemands and CSL’s code of conduct. Ensure product and facilitycompliance of all regulator bodies in all target markets with afocus on FDA and EU compliance. Oversee the ongoing education anddevelopment of employees in GxP and other Quality topics Safety Tomotivate the manufacturing team to achieve a culture of HSEexcellence, maintain area standards and performance. OperationalExcellence Promote a culture of risk-based continuous improvementacross the Manufacturing unit to guide a lean manufacturingoperation. Identify and prioritise key performance improvementsusing our standard tools and techniques . Cost Develop and deliverbudgets. Review and improve ways of working to maintain globalcompetitiveness as a manufacturer of bulk vaccines. CommunicationProvide accurate management information to Head of PrimaryManufacturing, on-site and off-site partners (suppliers, agenciesas required). Escalate issues and manage partner relationships.Strategy Contribute to the development of your area and support thedevelopment of Primary Manufacturing as a member of the extendedLeadership Team Education Requirements You are likely to be agraduate or be able to demonstrate experience to this level.Experience Requirements - You will have extensive experienceleading pharmaceutical/chemical manufacturing operations teams. -Vaccines/Biological cGMP technical experience is preferred -Regulatory experience to be capable to support FDA and MHRAinspections.
