Bilfinger UK are looking for a Mechanical Superintendent to join us on Hinkley Point C on a permanent basis

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and responsible working and full compliance to Company and Site safety procedures.

• Ensure all work is carried out in a productive and cost effective manner.

• Support site benchmarking initiatives.

• Ensure site/plant priorities are addressed in a timely manner and support company/site initiatives.

• Maintain the highest standards of health and safety, environmental performance and industrial relations.

• Ensure acceptable level of performance from Supervision under your remit.

• Ensure good 360 communications with trade teams.

• Uphold the Companies purpose and BIS UK Golden Rules.

• Coaching and mentoring workforce

• Understanding man hour targets and having clear roles and accountabilities.

• Ensure supervision are aware of required safety standards.

• Ensure a process of measuring and reducing rework.

• Where scopes of work change ensure these changes are captured and processed.

• Ensure time/allocation bookings are correct.

• Maintain links between all sub-contractors.

• Forward thinking regarding resources to allow for execution of work packages.

• Ensure frequent and clear communications are maintained with sub contractors and the client.

• Support Project Manager/Engineer initiatives.

• Provide clear and concise updates to area engineers.

• Have a minimum 5 hours of contact time on site during normal working day.

• Ensure supervisor contact time with blue collar is at maximum.
