Job Description


Planet Pharma are working with a leading biotechnology company dedicated to discovering, developing, manufacturing, and delivering innovative medicines. They focus on addressing serious illnesses and improving the quality of life for patients worldwide. Their expertise spans areas such as oncology, cardiovascular health, bone health, inflammation, and rare diseases.


Role overview:

Within this context, the Observational Research Scientist role will be based in the Center for Observational Research (CFOR) and will contribute to supporting products throughout their life cycle and across various functional areas of the organization.


The role involves collaborating with team members to design, plan, and deliver studies utilizing in-house databases and registries. Responsibilities include drafting Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs), guiding data analysts in exploring real-world data (RWD) assets, and interpreting study results and outputs.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for writing of SAPs Develops medical code list for epidemiological studies
  • Contributes to projects using real-world healthcare data assets
  • Guiding the analysts to explore RWD Contributes to research strategy within the product team and epidemiology TA Provides input into epidemiology department meetings
  • Stays abreast of the latest developments in the field of epidemiology and drug development, healthcare RWD and contributes to the field
  • Promotes epidemiologic awareness
  • Promotes understanding and use of RWD and epidemiologic methods
  • Communicate significant scientific information to a variety of audiences


Requirements:

  • Experience in the design, execution, and analysis of epidemiology studies within Pharmaceutical or Public Health setting
  • Experience with large databases such as CPRD or THIN
  • Experience in epidemiological project planning and management
