We are expanding our management team by hiring a Manufacturing Night Shift Manager. This individual will lead and motivate a large team of 100+ Production Assistants, working together to produce over 14,000 semiconductor wafers weekly.


What The Night Shift Manager Will Do

Reporting to the Site Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading, engaging, and empowering a diverse team, including Group Leaders, Deputy Group Leaders, and up to 100 Production Assistants, to meet production targets. You will work on a rotating shift schedule, 4 nights on and 4 nights off, from 7 pm to 7 am, with a base salary of £48,000-£58,000 plus a 50% shift allowance (up to £87,000+Bonus DOE). You will oversee overall performance, activity, and compliance with business objectives, fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment while working toward FAB deliverables such as starts, outs, and deliveries. You will also facilitate employee engagement meetings and develop an auditable team administration system to enhance flexibility and meet stretch targets.


Other Responsibilities Will Include


  1. Establishing and implementing goals and objectives for your team
  2. Working towards exceeding company targets to increase capacity
  3. Reporting, analysis, and presentation of production results
  4. Ensuring on-time product delivery
  5. Optimizing fab throughput
  6. Leading improvement projects related to scrap prevention, productivity, and tool utilization
  7. Managing disciplinary and capability conformance of employees
  8. Enhancing FAB flexibility
  9. Managing labor budgets, including holidays and overtime


What a Night Shift Manager Will Need


  1. Experience as a leader or manager in a high-volume, 24/7 high-tech manufacturing environment
  2. Experience in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, automotive & aerospace, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or electronics
  3. Experience analyzing, digesting, and presenting data focused on targets such as cycle times
  4. Experience leading large teams
  5. Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  6. Effective verbal and written communication skills
  7. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  8. Coaching, mentoring, and motivational skills


Desirable But Not Essential


  1. Exposure to electronic products / PCBs
  2. Semiconductor knowledge
