My client, a leading global advisory firm, is looking for aSenior Associate Director or Directorto join theirrapidly growing health team in Central London.

The successful candidate will work with high-profile organisations, ranging from emerging bio-tech to established pharmaceutical companies and public health organisations.

2025 will be an exciting year in healthcare. This opportunity should not be missed!

The role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to be a key figure in my client's healthcare offering – driving new business, providing high-value strategic advice, and leading a world-class team.

  1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on expanding the domestic health sector pipeline.
  2. Lead healthcare, strategic communications, and issue-based campaigns for clients.
  3. Manage and strengthen client relationships by overseeing projects, directing teams, allocating resources, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  4. Deliver exceptional client service through proactive account management, acting as the primary contact, and guiding staff to support and grow client partnerships.
  5. Develop and execute integrated campaigns to communicate client messages and priorities to policymakers, civil servants, media, trade associations, consumers, and stakeholders.
  6. Drive strategic planning and message development for new business and ongoing projects.
  7. Stay informed about developments within client issue areas and identify engagement opportunities.

The ideal candidate:

  • 9+ years of UK healthcare, public affairs, and strategic communications agency experience. In-house experience is also considered.
  • Strong expertise in navigating UK health policy issues.
  • Deep understanding of public and government affairs.
  • Self-directed, proactive, and motivated with a desire to win for clients daily.
  • Experience leading teams and managing work streams, serving as senior counsel on major projects.
  • Desire to learn and grow across industries and communication mediums.
  • Proven success in strategic stakeholder engagement and new business initiatives.
  • Strong enthusiasm and connections in the UK health space, with understanding of NICE and UK reimbursement landscape.
  • Knowledge of the ABPI code and advising clients on navigation.
  • Interest in UK politics with understanding of Westminster & Whitehall processes.
