The Role

As a Process Development Scientist you'll be at the forefront of designing and optimizing cutting-edge manufacturing techniques. Whether you're a recent graduate or an experienced professional, this role offers the opportunity to scale up lab innovations into robust manufacturing processes that can transform healthcare.


What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and optimize downstream operations, such as lysis, chromatography, filtration, and TFF, to ensure efficient recovery and purification of plasmid DNA and AAV
  • Scale lab processes to GMP production, ensuring robust, reproducible manufacturing operations
  • Support manufacturing with troubleshooting and the introduction of new processes
  • Utilize high-throughput tools, statistical modelling, and process analytical technologies to enhance process understanding and identify optimization opportunities
  • Serve as an ambassador at industry conferences, showcasing cutting-edge advancements


What we’re looking for:

A PhD/EngD with 0-2 years of biotech experience, or a BSc/MSc with over 2 years in process development and scale-up


Key competencies include a solid foundation in chemical and biological processes, experience with chromatography and TFF systems, and knowledge of GMP and QbD principles. Familiarity with tools like DoE, multivariate analysis, and mechanistic process modelling is a plus.
