MES Recipe Author (Cork, Site-Based)

Location: Cork, Ireland

About the Role: We are seeking an MES Recipe Author/Software Engineer to join our growing MES team. This role supports Electronic Batch Records at a large multinational Biotech manufacturing facility in Cork. You will be responsible for designing and configuring MES recipes on-site. Additionally, you may need to configure and support the MES Weigh and Dispense and Equipment Management modules. Experience in supporting IT applications and a self-motivated attitude to understand the business are essential. Experience in pharmaceutical API manufacturing operations is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and support MES recipes.

  • Produce high-quality, well-documented configurations that are easy to maintain.

  • Collaborate with various site teams to configure and support interfaces with systems like ERP, Automation, and Lab systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing solutions or recommendations for improvements.

  • Implement system design changes in line with company Quality Standards and Practices.

  • Translate business requirements into design and test new MES recipes and changes.

  • Generate computer system validation documentation per site procedures and GMP guidelines.

  • Maintain a high level of integrity in your work, recognizing the importance of quality control in pharmaceutical production.

  • Build strong relationships with team members and other stakeholders.

    Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience supporting IT applications.

  • At least 2 years of experience in a regulated environment.

  • 3 years of hands-on experience with requirements gathering, design documentation, test case development, system & integration testing, COTS implementations, and validation deliverables.

  • Experience in MES Recipe Authoring; knowledge of Emerson Syncade MES is a plus.

  • MS SQL Server experience is advantageous.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build cross-functional relationships.

  • Highly motivated, delivery-focused, and experienced in working across multiple business and functional teams.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
