About the role

Our Medtech & Life Science Broker will be responsible for advising and securing appropriate insurance coverage for clients within the Medtech & Life Sciences industry, including Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Healthcare & Clinical Research companies.

This new role will involve risk assessment, policy negotiation, and client relationship management to ensure tailored insurance solutions that meet the specific needs of Medtech & Life Science businesses.

What you'll get up to:

  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in the Medtech & Life Sciences sector.

  2. Assess clients’ risk exposures and provide tailored insurance solutions.

  3. Provide expert guidance on industry-specific risks such as Product Liability, Clinical Trials, & Professional Indemnity.

  4. Handle client queries, policy renewals, and mid-term adjustments efficiently.

  5. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential liabilities in Medtech & Life Science operations.

  6. Work with insurers to develop specialised coverage solutions, including bespoke wordings.

  7. Negotiate policy terms, coverage limits, and premiums with underwriters.

  8. Ensure competitive pricing and appropriate coverage for clients.

  9. Stay updated on emerging risks in Medtech, Biotech, Pharmaceuticals, and Medical Innovations.

  10. Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and underwriters.

About you:

  1. Experience in insurance broking &/or underwriting within Medtech & Life Science.

  2. Proven ability to negotiate with insurers and structure tailored coverage solutions.

  3. Excellent communication, client relationship, and advisory skills.

  4. Attention to detail in policy documentation and compliance matters.

  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  6. Strong knowledge of Commercial insurance products.

  7. Cert CII qualification.
