The Role:
We have a new and exciting opportunity within our regional Medical Affairs team for a Medical Advisor in Haematology and Oncology. This role will provide essential support to the AVP Medical Affairs and Medical Directors for the Oncology therapy areas and deliver effective management of medical affairs activities across Accord Healthcare’s haematology & oncology portfolio of medicines.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide expert scientific and clinical support to all aspects of the Oncology Therapy area (TA)
Provide TA Oncology & Haematology Medical Affairs planning support
Support pre-, peri- and post launch activities across Accord Healthcare Haematology & Oncology portfolio of medicines
Contribute to the development of medical strategies to support brand commercialisation activities by working closely with the Medical Directors and cross-functional brand teams.
Leverage deep product/disease knowledge to educate the network of peers
Manage scientific and creative input, contribute to the development, review, and approval of promotional materials for the brand teams.
Collaborate in the implementation of regional and global Haematology/Oncology trials across all phases and develop as well as conduct local clinical trials and support investigator-initiated trials where necessary.
Key in supporting the planning of scientific advice meetings, symposia, advisory board meetings, and the facilitation of other meetings with HCPs.
Provide Scientific Training and support educational activities in the Therapeutic Area
Provides input into clinical protocols, clinical research strategy & operational implementation
Expected to comply with all ACCORD Healthcare SOPs, Policies, Directive and any relevant National guidelines
The Person:
Biomedical/scientific university education ideally to post-graduate degree level e.g. MSc, PhD, MD, PharmD
Demonstrable experience in a medical function within the pharmaceutical industry or a senior healthcare role
Proven experience and successful track record in a related role or function within medical affairs highly desirable
Deep scientific expertise and knowledge of Haematology & Oncology and its treatment
Preference to have prior experience working within Biosimilars
Technical Knowledge in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Excellent inter-personal skills
Ability to solve problems in a matrix organisation
Practical knowledge of ICH Good Clinical Practices and regulatory requirements, with the ability to work through complex regulatory requirements in cooperation with the relevant stakeholders.
