We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee and manage the delivery of a Mechanical Package on a pharmaceutical project
This role is ideal for someone with a minimum of 10 years' experience in the Mechanical contracting industry, specifically within life sciences or data centre environments. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering a technically complex scope, working closely with client representatives, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the full lifecycle of a £10Mmechanical package, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards

Manage coordination between client design teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers

Review IFC drawings and technical specifications to ensure full understanding of scope

Lead the transformation of design into coordinated installation drawings via BIM processes

Ensure engineering deliverables support the construction schedule, including procurement planning

Prepare and track technical submittals, manage RFIs, and liaise with vendors for technical support and value engineering

Manage procurement of materials and equipment, including take-offs, lead times, and delivery schedules

Oversee QA/QC processes, ensuring installations meet project specifications and benchmarking standards

Conduct site audits and ensure compliance with project procedures and safety requirements

Support the development and closure of work packs and handover documentation

Coordinate BIM priorities such as isometric drawing generation and release

Provide technical guidance to site teams during installation and commissioning phases

Liaise with client teams and contribute to project reporting and communication with senior stakeholders

Assist in the preparation of tender packages for subcontractors and suppliers

Candidate Requirements:

5+ years' experience with a recognised contractor

Proven experience delivering large-scale packages, ideally in life sciences or data centre projects

Strong knowledge of Mechanical systems, specifications, and construction processes

Excellent project planning, coordination, and communication skills

Proficiency in BIM, Navisworks, and project planning software (e.g., Primavera)

Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
