Springer Health+ is a full service agency and leading publisher of medical educational products for the healthcare community, and forms part of Springer Nature, one of the world’s leading global scientific and medical publishers.

We deliver strategic medical communications solutions, high-level clinical and scientific content, specialized training programs, and targeted medical education initiatives across the full range of therapeutic areas.

Purpose of Role

The Marketing Engagement Executive will work across multiple business lines to undertake digital marketing activities and audience engagement to meet both client project goals and business objectives.

The Marketing Engagement Executive will oversee multiple campaigns, manage success measures of engagement, audience recruitment, and monitor and report on the performance of client projects, whilst managing appropriate budget spend. The post holder will harness and develop existing and new audience engagement channels to reach and make an impact on a healthcare audience.

In addition to the client projects, the Marketing Engagement Executive will also help inform marketing strategy for the medical education business units.

Main Duties:

  • To deliver a targeted audience through a range of audience engagement campaigns for client projects and Springer Health+ content.

  • Continually research new and existing channels to reach new healthcare professional and pharmaceutical audiences.

  • Creation of engagement and communication plans that align with project objectives and goals.

  • Advise internal stakeholders on campaign performance metrics and optimisations, making sure that their advice is commercially- feasible and are recommended based on past benchmarks and / or experience.

  • Support and develop best practice procedures for campaigns to ensure the success of each campaign delivered by the marketing team.

  • Support the delivery of marketing plans for Springer Health+ products and brands.

  • Work with Marketing and Operations teams to ensure timely and accurate invoicing of all campaign charges.

Skills / Experience:

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience in running multiple social media advertising campaigns

  • Experienced in creating multi-channel engagement plans

  • Experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proven experience of commercially orientated marketing planning and tactic delivery

  • Excellent organisation and time management

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of common marketing channels and social media

  • Able to proficiently use email campaign platforms

  • Knowledge of audience segmentation practices

  • Degree or CIM qualified

  • Experience of working in a cross functional team

Desirable:

  • Good understanding of the healthcare profession and how to access this audience

  • Experience in cross-brand marketing and communications

  • Experience of working within an agency or agency style business

  • Practical skills in Photoshop, InDesign and/or Illustrator
