In the position of Manufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within the production line. Your hands-on expertise will allow you to manage your area of responsibility while also cross-applying your skills throughout the factory. Your responsibilities will include:

-Ensuring the production line meets hourly targets and is set up to maximise performance in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
-Acting as the first responder to breakdowns or set-up issues, utilising root cause problem-solving skills to implement timely fixes.
-Maintaining plant and machinery to the highest standards through proactive planned preventive maintenance.
-Leading troubleshooting efforts and proactively identifying opportunities for line performance enhancement through innovative thinking and teamwork.
-Effectively scheduling maintenance to maximise service levels and carrying out condition-based maintenance to minimise disruption.

To thrive in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:

-A Level 3 qualification in engineering or maintenance.
-Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to excel in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing sophisticated machinery, including electrical, pneumatic, or mechanical systems.
-The ability to respond urgently to immediate problems while also maintaining a disciplined approach to routine tasks, future improvements, and preventive maintenance.
-Excellent communication skills that enable you to influence others and keep your team well-informed.
-A mindset geared towards innovation, with a willingness to challenge the status quo.
