We are currently seeking aManaging Scientist - Ecotoxicologistfor our Chemical Regulation and Food Safety Practicein Harrogate (UK), Derby (UK), London (UK), Dublin (IE), Mannheim (DE) or Basel (SW) offices; homeworking will also be considered

You will be responsible for

Conducting environmental risk assessments for plant protection products as required by EU legislation (Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009) Summarising and interpreting data, including study reports and published literature in the area of ecotoxicology, drawing sound scientific and regulatory conclusions Providing advice to clients on plant protection product ecotoxicology/environmental risk assessment issues Data gap analysis, developing testing strategies and monitoring ecotoxicology studies Providing verbal and/or written inputs to multi-disciplinary project teams and contributing to providing high level strategic advice to clients and high-quality outputs

You will have the following skills and qualifications

Sc. or . degree or equivalent in relevant discipline (. biology, environmental science). A Higher Degree (MSc, PhD) would also be an advantage Significant experience of completing environmental risk assessments under EU plant protection product legislation (. Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Accuracy and attention to detail Strong team working skills Sound judgement and decision-making ability Good numeracy skills
