With a heritage rooted in research and sustainability, NPZ UK combines cutting-edge breeding technologies with a commitment to delivering top-performing varieties that meet the evolving needs of farmers worldwide.The Role The Managing Director will drive the company’s success as a leading plant breeder in the UK marketplace. The primary responsibility is to deliver company performance against strategic goals set in conjunction with the board and shareholders, maintain and grow sales, profitability, and drive market share for the product portfolio, alongside managing the practical plant breeding work across a broad range of species.The Candidate The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a strong background in strategic planning, business management, and financial oversight. A degree in Agriculture, Business, Economics, or a related field is advantageous, as is knowledge of agriculture or plant breeding. They will have a balance of technical expertise and commercial acumen, strong numeracy skills, and a results-oriented mindset. Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential.
