The Field Service Manager is responsible for the base business retention. She/he will work closely with the Sales team to develop tailored plans to improve customer satisfaction. She/he will also be responsible for enhancing the technical and soft skills of her/his team to ensure best-in-class support. Additionally, support the Customer Care Organization in creating value for customers, positioning as a partner to improve lab performance.
This position reports to the Senior Manager of Service Operations and is part of the Customer Care Organization. It is a remote role covering the UK Southwest area.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Build support excellence in your area from technical and application perspectives.
Collaborate with Sales to support business retention.
Provide support to customers according to contract specifications and priorities.
Arrange internal training for engineers.
Support field operations from installation to routine maintenance and deinstallation.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and create a strategy-focused culture.
Strong team collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Relations with TPP providers, Water Systems, UPS, etc.
Approval of invoices and order management.
Flexibility to work hours based on business needs, including support during weekends.
Planning and communicating team vacation schedules.
Monitoring legal labor time utilization and implementing corrective measures when needed.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Ability to travel approximately 60%, including 15% abroad.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Use of company vehicles will follow the Danaher policy.
Preferred experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Biomedical Science, or related fields. Advanced degrees or management certifications are a plus.
Proven managerial experience in field service roles.
