Are you a Biomedical Scientist with Histology experience looking for a rewarding locum role in Manchester? We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility!

Job Title: Histology Biomedical Scientist Band 5/6
Location: Manchester
Duration: 3-month rolling contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
Rate of Pay: £20 - 26 per hour DOE (umbrella equivalent)

What You’ll Be Doing:

Join our team as a Biomedical Scientist and contribute to providing excellent diagnostic services. In this role, you will:

Perform histology lab tests and prepare samples for diagnostic analysis
Conduct microtomy, embedding, and staining procedures
Ensure high standards in laboratory procedures and patient sample handling
Work closely with senior scientists to maintain compliance with all regulations
Support the development and implementation of quality control measures
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Strong experience in Histology, including microtomy and embedding
Knowledge of laboratory testing and specimen preparation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient laboratory services
Full right to work in the UK (we are unable to provide sponsorship)

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role requires availability from Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with some flexibility where possible. The contract is for 3 months with a rolling renewal, subject to performance and service needs.
