Lead Piping Engineer

OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Lead Piping Engineer for a leading Project Management and Engineering design consultancy based in the Humber region. This position provides an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking lead engineer to be part of a successful and progressive organisation.

Job Specification:

Contract, PAYE or a full time, permanent staff position is available working within a consultancy organisation. Leading teams of Piping Designers on multidiscipline projects. Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical and Chemical sectors. Experience of plant layout and design of complex piping systems. Good appreciation of project coordination and information management. You should be confident in client facing model reviews, change management, preparing Technical queries along with accurate progress reporting. Project phases from Concept through FEED to detail design and support during fabrication / installation.

Skills & Qualification:

  • HND qualified minimum or IEng status

  • Competent in leading design within a point cloud environment.

  • ACAD Plant 3D competent

  • Competent Navisworks manage user.

  • A minimum of 10 years piping engineering experience is required with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.

  • Excellent communication (written and oral in English) and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in managing priorities and timelines simultaneously.

  • Ability to develop and enhance key process engineering competencies and to lead and inspire the team.

  • To coach and mentor team members to accelerate people development, to improve quality of service and maintain consistency of deliverables.
