A fantastic contract opportunity is available for a candidate to join a thriving testing laboratory in the Sheffield area.

We are looking to recruit a lab technician initially on a 2 month contract to join an established team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Follow the procedures set out with the Quality Management System
2. Adhere to the Health and Safety rules in the laboratory e.g. wearing PPE
3. Preparation of inoculated and sterile devices
4. Perform supporting tasks e.g. cleaning, calibrations, daily checks, sample reception, media preparation, stock orders
5. Maintain a tidy and clean workplace at all times
6. Ensure any delays in reporting results are communicated
7. Raise any concerns about the Quality Management System to the Laboratory Manager

Hours of Work:

37.5 hours per week. 9-5pm, Saturday to Wednesday.
