Laboratory Service Advisor

An exciting opportunity has become available for a proactive and enthusiastic Laboratory Service Advisor to join a leading medical organisation in central London. This is a full-time hybrid position (40 hours per week) on a rotating shift schedule.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We’re looking for someone who has:

A degree in Biomedical Science, Biology, or another medical-related field (or equivalent experience)
6–12 months of call centre experience, ideally within a medical or healthcare environment
Proven experience within customer service
Excellent communication skills — both verbal and written
A professional, empathetic, and customer-focused approach
Experience within the medical industry is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing frontline customer service to clients, doctors, and patients
Communicating lab test results and processes (confidentiality is vital)
Handling general enquiries and explaining diagnostic procedures
Arranging couriers and managing supplies requests

Working Hours & Shifts:

Monday to Friday: Between 07:00 – 23:00

Rotating shifts such as 8am–5pm, 9am–6pm, 10am–7pm, 11am–8pm, or 2pm–11pm

Weekend & Bank Holiday Coverage (Remote):

Saturdays: 07:00 – 23:00
Sundays: 09:00 – 18:00
Bank Holidays: 09:00 – 17:30
➡️ Weekend and Bank Holiday shifts are remote and paid as overtime
