Research Assistant

Our Client is an independently owned and operated company that works exclusively with clinical trial materials. The UK site provides secondary packaging, labelling and distribution of clinical trial supplies for sponsor company organisations. Their facility near Reading serves as the packaging and distribution hub for clinical trial materials to Europe and the rest of world.
They are now seeking a Label Inspection Assistant to join their team. This position is a full-time permanent role and will be site based near Reading, Berkshire.
Job Purpose

  • This position is responsible for label inspection, proofing, and randomization activities
    Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Inspect Labels produced by our client and their clients and vendors.
  • Ensure that the allocated label inspection room is clean, tidy and in a compliant state at all times.
  • Work in accordance with Procedures to inspect labels to the agreed standards (content and legibility).
  • Support the Label Inspection Supervisor in the maintenance of the label defects library tool.
  • Work with counterparts in other facilities to develop aligned ways of working and best practices through continuous improvement.
  • Train General Associates and our clients staff in label inspection.
  • Provide back-up to Label Production.
    Qualifications and Experience
  • Educated to GCSE level including English and Maths
  • Excellent English reading and writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with cGMP (desirable)
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry (desirable)
