Lab TechnicianHoddesdonWe are looking for:A Lab Technician to support the analytical laboratory by managing inventory, maintaining equipment, ensuring a clean and organized workspace, and assisting with analytical testing. Requirements:BSc. degree (or equivalent) in chemistry or a related field For those with BSc: Experience is not a prerequisite, but any work experience that requires good customer service, work ethics and team playing is advantageous For those with Highschool/A-levels: Evidence of strong industrial experience, typically with at least 3 years’ experience in such a role Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach Excellent planning and organization skills - Ability to multi-task, manage time and accept changing priorities Effective written and oral communication skills Good stakeholder and relationship management Collaborative ability Work within and ability to effectively contribute to multidisciplinary scientific teams and environment IT skills with a good working knowledge of MS OfficeKey roles and responsibilities:Maintaining the system for sending equipment and instruments for external calibration. Overseeing the waste management in the laboratory. Implementation of 5S sustainability on laboratory instruments and areas. Preparation of buffers and reagents to support analytical methods. Testing and release of raw materials, chemicals and solvents. Cleaning and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation. Managing shipping requests. Filing and management of GMP documentation.
