Lab Technician - 9 Month Temporary Contract
 
Our client is an innovative medical equipment manufacturer who are looking to recruit a Lab Technician to join their team on a 9 month temporary contract starting from 1st April 2025, based at their site in Leeds. 
 
Lab Technician - Responsibilities: 

Support the laboratory team to manage the day-to-day routine tasks for running the simulators and to deal with simulator related issues in line with the Good Laboratory Practices, Good Data Practices, Sustainability and 6S policies.
General support, testing or maintenance in relation to the simulators or other equipment which is needed as per business requirements.
Document daily records of inspections, maintenance activity, repairs, and other work performed within approved guidelines and procedures.
Escalate instrument performance concerns or breakdown support for resolution to higher level staff or specialty vendors.
Supports routine tasks associated with Kinematic Tests as requested and directed by Lab staff.
Manages, organizes, and implements high-quality specialist engineering and coordination support for Simulation Solution equipment.
Helps ensure environmental health and safety compliance, permits, work process, sustainability initiatives and training.
Fixture preparation for testing under supervision, also including monitoring tests
Delivers some equipment verifications.
Responsible for their own and others health and safety, should report any unsafe condition as soon as possible so that preventative or corrective action can be taken.
Should cooperate with Company on all aspects of health and safety and assist them in discharging their legal duties.
Should not intentionally interfere with, misuse or damage any equipment provided in the interests of health and safety. This is an excellent opportunity for Lab Technicians with experience in a similar role or Mechanical/Biomedical/Engineering Graduates  who have some relevant experience and/or a keen interest in laboratory testing, equipment maintenance and working with high-tech devices in a regulated, safety-conscious environment. 
 
Full time, 37.5 hours p/w, site based in Leeds, LS11.
