Job Description We are seeking a junior software engineer with knowledge of full stack application development to contribute to exciting projects across the Forensics divisions in the UK and Europe. As a junior developer, you will collaborate with other developers, testers, and the product owner to design and implement technical solutions aligned with our product roadmap. This role is remote , with flexibility to attend meetups in Birmingham and Tamworth as needed.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Understanding how software works, including debugging and fixing issues
Participating in iteration planning and estimation
Enhancing your development experience and knowledge
Managing pull requests and contributing to technical decisions with the team and stakeholders
Maintaining team documentation and wikis
What you will be doing
Developing front-end SPA applications with Blazor
Building .NET Core APIs with C#
Utilizing Entity Framework
Qualifications As a junior software engineer, you should have knowledge of software development life cycles in an agile environment, including story estimation, planning, and backlog grooming. You should have practical experience building scalable, sustainable, and well-documented APIs and front-end SPA frameworks. Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps , Visual Studio , GIT , and SQL Server Management Studio is advantageous.
Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment using Azure DevOps
Knowledge of Hangfire, RabbitMQ, MongoDB
Experience with Test Driven Development and writing Unit Tests
Additional Information Due to the sensitive nature of the work, security clearance is required. Applicants must have five years of continuous UK residency. Security clearance is conducted by a third party according to police vetting standards (NPPV/3 and SC). Criminal convictions may affect eligibility. Further details are available at this link .
