IT Business Partner

Reading|United Kingdom (GB)|Full-time|Permanent

The IT Business Partner will collaborate closely with key business stakeholders to enhance technological application improvement activities. This role involves providing business colleagues with an in-depth understanding of third-party applications, leveraging expertise in productivity solutions such as M365. The successful candidate will work directly with technology teams to validate innovative ideas and devise alternative strategies to meet stakeholder expectations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Strategic Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships across all levels; understand business needs; align IT strategy and solutions with company goals, compliance (GxP), and innovation opportunities.
  • SAP S/4HANA Implementation & Project Management: Lead requirement gathering, support configuration/testing, bridge business and technical teams; manage project timelines and drive adoption of new systems.
  • Technical Support & Process Improvement: Provide timely IT support, troubleshoot issues, identify and implement technological improvements including automation and AI to boost productivity.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure all IT activities comply with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Collaboration & Change Management: Work closely with technology teams and business stakeholders to design, validate, and implement solutions; lead change management to maximize adoption and minimize disruption.
  • Vendor & Innovation Management: Manage vendor relationships and contracts; promote innovation by presenting new ideas and supporting technology-driven business growth.

Personal Specifications(Skills required to perform the job)

  • Proven experience as an IT Business Partner or similar role, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Broad IT technical understanding with troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Project management and organisational skills.
  • Awareness of GxP regulations and system validation.
  • Financial acumen and budgeting skills.
  • Demonstrable SAP S/4HANA knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Prince2 & Agile methodologies (desirable).
  • Good understanding of change management best practices (desirable).
