Waters Corporation 12 week Internship, Field Service Engineer. Scotland.

Waters Corporation is always looking to hire outstanding future talent for our company. The Waters UK service team is looking to hire a summer intern out of our Scotland location (Edinburgh location would be ideal).

This internship is a phenomenal opportunity to gain real-world experience while working at the world's leading specialty measurement company. This internship will last approximately ten weeks and the program will commence in the spring/summer of 2024.

Responsibilities

Assist senior field service engineers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in our customers laboratories. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on various HPLC/UPLC systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, providing effective solutions under supervision. Document service activities, including maintenance logs and service reports. Maintain a safe workplace complying with both our customers and Waters Environmental, Health and Safety requirements. Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications specific to this role:

Currently pursuing a degree in Science, Analytical Science, Pharma Science, Biochemistry, or a related field. Basic understanding of engineering principles and technical concepts would be benficial. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel to different client sites across the UK.

This is a paid internship position.
