Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, we are seeking an experiencedInterimHead of Marketing Strategy to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy for our Clinical Research Organisation (CRO), Consulting, and Marketing Authorisation Holder (MAH) Services business units. This role will be instrumental in refining our strategy and improving our market positioning, enhancing brand awareness and driving business growth. This role requires a results driven, self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of clinical development and the biopharmaceutical industry and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.



This is a hybrid role, with 2-3 days per week in our HQ in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan to position the company’s three Business Units (TMC CRO, TMC Consulting and TMC MAH Services), within the pharmaceutical/biotech sector.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities, competitive positioning and industry trends.
  • Define clear value propositions and messaging for each of our Business Units tailored to our target pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
  • Oversee brand development and ensure consistent messaging across all channels, including digital, content marketing, PR and conferences.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Team to align marketing efforts with business development goals.
  • Develop and optimise marketing campaigns, including digital, content and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to execute marketing activities efficiently.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the impact of marketing initiatives.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for long-term marketing growth beyond the interim period.


What’s needed:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role ideally within a CRO or life sciences, healthcare or pharmaceutical company.
  • Strong background in marketing strategy development, brand positioning and market analysis.
  • Experience in B2B marketing, particularly within highly regulated industries.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Hands-on experience in digital marketing, content marketing and lead generation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver results within a short-term contract.
  • Outstanding work ethic and a commitment to meeting timelines without compromising quality.
