Bilfinger UK are currently recruiting Instrument Technicians on a Fixed Term contract, on a 2/3 rota mobilising from Aberdeen
Participate as part of an integrated maintenance team, responsible to execute Instrumentation and Control Systems maintenance works, and associated activities, in a safe, timely and quality manner to maximise plant & equipment availability, maintain asset integrity, and achieve business objectives
Read and interpret complex installation P&ID’s, PFD’s and C&E Matrices as part of routine maintenance and fault finding
Have the required competencies to assemble, install, carry out preventative maintenance, test, repair, diagnose faults and remove and replace, and dissemble instrumentation and control systems and their associated system components.
Understand the relevant legislative, regulatory requirements or procedures and safe working practices, including their responsibilities with regards to reporting lines and procedures.
Provide technical support to other disciplines, eg Commissioning, Wells, Engineering as required
Demonstrate a good understanding of the installation process and production critical systems and equipment and the protection and monitoring systems required to operate safely.
Apply approved isolations to process plant and record on isolation registers
Good understanding of SIL/SIF identified equipment and the levels of testing required to preserve plant LOPA protection status
Understand the preparation and reinstatement requirements in respect of the work area, materials and equipment, and the possible consequences of incorrect actions in these areas.
Be able to read and interpret relevant engineering drawings, related specifications, quality standards and equipment manuals, and to follow work instructions and relevant plans and schedules.
Understand which tools and equipment to use, and when, and will follow relevant training, methods and techniques and quality control and safety procedures for their use.
Understand their responsibilities for ensuring the care and security of tools and equipment used.
Diagnose function and test equipment on return to service
Assist other disciplines, 3rd party contractors and vendors, as required.
Train and mentor apprentices/trainees

Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory Offshore Certification (BOSIET, MIST, Medical, etc)
Formal Trade Qualification (Instrument Technician)
Min ONC/HNC
COMPEX EN60079 Hazardous Areas
SBT01/02
Emergency Response Training
Offshore experience
ISSOW
