We work in partnership with several NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups nationwide to provide patients with access to community services closer to their home.

These include Diagnostic Ultrasound, Gynaecology Services, diagnosis and treatment of Dermatological conditions, Ophthalmology services and the provision of extended Minor surgery procedures.

Are you a dedicated and skilled Infection Prevention and Control Doctor looking for a new opportunity?

We have an amazing opportunity for Medical Microbiologist who has experience of Infection Prevention and Control to work for at least half a day per month with the potential requirement to attend meetings or provide advice on an ad-hoc basis and oversee all activity for HealthHarmonie in relation to Infection Prevention and Control.


About the role

  • Lead and provide expert advice on Infection Prevention and Control policies and protocols across the organization.
  • Virtually / Remotely attend Infection Prevention and Control Committee meetings, Water Safety Group and Decontamination Group meetings.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including clinical staff, to implement infection prevention strategies.
  • Provide expert microbiological consultation to clinical teams, guiding antibiotic stewardship and infection management.
  • Support the development and training of staff in infection prevention and control procedures.
  • Promote the application of high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and decontamination practices.
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement activities related to infection prevention.
  • Support research and development in the field of medical microbiology and infection prevention.


About you

  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
  • Specialist training in Medical Microbiology and Infection Control.
  • Certification in Infection Control or equivalent is desirable.
  • Experience working within Infection Prevention and Control in a hospital setting.
  • Proven ability to manage complex clinical cases
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in multidisciplinary team collaboration.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
