With a strong reputation for quality and reliability, we have grown to a dedicated team of circa 130 employees and are continuing to grow.We are now looking for a dynamic and experienced Managing Director to help drive our next phase of growth and strengthen our position in the sector.Role Overview:As Managing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, including the successful delivery of projects, managing financial performance, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. You will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the business, driving operational efficiency, and expanding our relationships with key stakeholders, including DNOs (Distribution Network Operators), IDNOs (Independent Distribution Network Operators), and other network operator partners.You will be instrumental in growing the business while maintaining the high standards our clients expect.Key Responsibilities:Lead and inspire a team of 130+ employees, fostering a high-performance culture.Develop and execute the business strategy, focusing on growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.Oversee the delivery of all HV services projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.Manage the financial performance of the business, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L responsibility.Monitor and report on financial KPIs, driving improvements in profitability and cost efficiency.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including DNOs, IDNOs, network operators, suppliers, and clients. Negotiate pricing and contract terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreements. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, acquisitions, and market expansion. Drive revenue growth and increase market share in the HV sector.Continuously assess and improve operational processes to enhance productivity, safety, and service delivery.Ensure all business activities comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices. Proactively manage business risks and issues.Key Requirements:Proven experience as a Managing Director, Technical Director, Commercial Director or similar senior leadership role within the HV, utilities, energy or infrastructure sectors.Strong understanding of HV distribution networks, including maintenance, servicing, upgrades and connections.
