Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner (HRBP), operating from our

Hatfield office near London. The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner to business

leaders, driving HR initiatives that align with business objectives, enhance team culture, and support organizational growth across multiple countries.


Key Responsibilities:

A. Strategic HR Partnership:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, aligning HR strategies with business goals
  • Support organizational design and workforce planning initiatives across multiple countries
  • Understand the commercial and business operations and support in creating the organizational talent strategy accordingly

B. Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and finalize recruitment plans
  • Lead and support recruitment efforts to attract and retain high-quality talent
  • Work with various service partners across multiple markets
  • Streamline hiring processes and candidate on-boarding experience
  • Gather organizational insights, what’s working and what’s not working to help and support in talent retention

C. Employee Relations and Compliance:

  • Manage complex employee relations cases ensuring compliance with UK, German and Spanish employment law and company policies
  • Provide guidance and resolution support to managers and employees on HR-related issues

D. Performance and Development:

  • Drive performance management programs, including appraisals, feedback, and development plans
  • Drive consistency of timelines, parameters involved in performance appraisal
  • Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives
  • Actively drive an engaging talent agenda for the Europe business

E. Culture and Engagement:

  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes engagement and collaboration
  • Lead employee engagement activities and diversity and inclusion initiatives

F. Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across functions and regions
  • Influence and advise senior management on HR matters and organizational changes

G. Data and Analytics:

  • Analyse HR metrics to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve business outcomes
  • Provide regular reporting to leadership on workforce insights

H. Change Management:

  • Support business transformation initiatives by managing change and ensuring smooth transitions
  • Facilitate communication and training related to organizational changes


Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of CIPD Level 5 qualification is mandatory
  • Proven experience in talent recruitment and stakeholder management
  • Experience driving team culture and employee engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-country, multicultural environment
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices
  • Operating from the Hatfield office (London)
  • Agile, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
  • 8+ years of experience in Human Resources, with significant time spent in an HR Business Partner role
  • Experience working in multicultural set-ups
  • Multilingual skills, if possible – preferably Spanish and/or German, in addition to English
  • Prior experience working in a global matrix organization
