I am excited to be partnering with Zip Pak, part of the ITW group, a $16bn turnover business operating globally, as they search for a new QHSE Manager to join their site in Whitby. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global business working with well-known brands.
Have a minimum of 3 years relevant practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience leading internal and external audits (customer and supplier).
Demonstrable success in gaining and maintaining ISO accreditations.
Experience implementing and maintaining Quality Management systems.
Liaise with the Production Manager / Shift Leaders to ensure adherence to Quality and HSE procedures.
Promote a safety culture and safety awareness among teams and oneself.
Operate and administer an effective Near Miss/Safety Catch programme.
Conduct and keep current appropriate Risk Assessments; develop them with relevant departmental managers and operatives.
Design and deliver H&S Training to operators and staff at all levels.
Chair regular Quality and H&S meetings.
Keep Quality procedures up to date.
Support complaint investigations and liaise with the team regarding customer quality questionnaires.
Create, update, and maintain product specifications following Change Management procedures.
Ensure ISO 9001, 14001 procedures are always current.
Arrange and deliver QHSE training as needed.
Carry out internal and supplier audits.
Liaise with site engineers/production management to ensure all PPM procedures are current.
Collaborate with accreditation authorities to maintain certifications.
Review and implement new HS&E and ISO procedures and legislation.
Manage PPE requirements.
Support team management through coaching, mentoring, and proactive communication.
Manage workload and supervise less senior team members.
