Job Description Pharmacy Technician The CherwellHospital - Banbury Full Time - 37.5 hours A fantastic opportunityhas arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experiencedPharmacy Technician to join The Cherwell Hospital. The successfulPharmacy Technician will work within a team of Pharmacists andTechnicians providing support to the wider hospital team andpatients. The role In this role you will be an integral part of ateam who are committed to delivering the highest quality clinicaloutcomes in a supported environment, where you will be valued foryour skills and expertise. This role comprises of but is notlimited to: - Be an expert in procurement of medicines and ormedical devices (including any unlicensed medicines) - To ensurethe maintenance of a high standard of stock control and stockrotation for medicines - To supervise the daily stock level/expirychecks as per audit requirement and be responsible for making thenecessary adjustments - Manage medicines invoicing as per RamsayGuidelines - Be an integral part of staff development and trainingthroughout the hospital, as well as supporting the team to makedecisions and introduce innovative and streamlined processes. -Support the pharmacy manager in medicines reconciliation - Supportboth the pharmacy and wider hospital teams with audits - Be able toprovide ad hoc support to our sister hospital in Milton Keynes. -To work alongside the pharmacy manager to supervise a rollingmonthly check of the departmental holding of Controlled Drugsreporting any discrepancies to the pharmacy manager - To detect,record and report drug related clinical incidents according tohospital policy - Together with pharmacy manager develop, updateand implement changes to pharmacy procedures as necessary Thesuccessful candidate will hold the following essentialqualifications/criteria: - NVQ3, BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science orequivalent level - Registered with the General PharmaceuticalCouncil as a Pharmacy Technician - We welcome applications fromhospital or community or candidates from other sectors of pharmacyseeking new experiences or are keen to develop their skills in adifferent area of practice. - We require you to have clear andconfident communication skills, be patient focused - Proven abilityto work effectively in a team environment and independently asrequired - Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needsof the business - Have the ability to make decisions and use yourinitiative - Passion to deliver excellent care in a rewarding andfriendly environment - Have a full Driving License and be able tocommute to other Ramsay sites (in specific for Induction andProcurement training) Benefits - 25 Days Leave + Bank Holidays -Buy & Sell Flexi Leave Options - Private Pension where Ramsaywill match up to 5% after a qualifying period - Flexible shiftpatterns available where possible - Enhanced Competitive ParentalLeave Policies - Private Medical Cover with option to add partner& dependants - Life Assurance (Death in Service) x3 base salary- Free Training and Development via the Ramsay Academy - FreeParking on site (where possible) - Subsidised staff restaurant(where possible) - Concerts for Carers - Employee AssistanceProgramme - Cycle2Work scheme available, in partnership withHalfords - The Blue Light Card Scheme About us The CherwellHospital is part of the Ramsay Health Care group and providesclinical care to both private, insured and NHS patients.
