This is a full-time (10 PA)fixed-term position for 12 months. This presents an excitingopportunity to join a dynamic radiology team and contribute to thecontinued excellence of our diagnostic and imaging services. Mainduties of the job The successful candidate will be responsible fordelivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services, contributingto multidisciplinary team meetings (MDTs), and supporting acute andoutpatient imaging pathways. Responsibilities will include: oOncological imaging support and MDT participation.o Acute imaging,including emergency CT and MRI spine reporting.o Teaching andtraining of radiology trainees and allied healthcareprofessionals.o Engagement in research, service development, andquality improvement initiatives.o Participation in on call rotawill be discussed with the successful applicanto Evening andweekend working to support service requirements About us TheDepartment of Radiology is part of the Clinical Imaging and MedicalPhysics (CLIMP) Directorate within the Integrated and SpecialistMedicine (ISM) clinical group. It is led by Joint ClinicalDirectors, supported by a General Manager and Head of Nursing. TheRadiology Department's management team comprises a Clinical LeadRadiologist and a Head of Radiology Services. The Directorateactively contributes to the Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC)through its participation in the Imaging and Biomedical EngineeringClinical Academic Group. Imaging services are delivered acrossthree main sites: St Thomas' Hospital, Guy's Hospital, and EvelinaChildren's Hospital. The department operates a fully integrated RISand PACS system (Sectra), enabling seamless image interpretationacross all locations. Additionally, the department hasvideo-conferencing capabilities and PACS links with regionalhospitals to facilitate multidisciplinary patient reviews. With anasset base exceeding £25 million, the department is equipped withstate-of-the-art imaging and interventional facilities. Annually,the department performs over 500,000 imaging examinations,including approximately 88,000 CT scans.
