If this sounds like you, we have an exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety and Environment Manager to join a specialist high-quality household components manufacturer. The role will be instrumental in maintaining, and further enhancing, safety standards at their site in the North-West of England, ensuring compliance with UK legislation.

Responsibilities of the Health, Safety and Environment Manager will include:

Compliance & Risk Management: Ensuring the site is compliant with UK legislation and in line with the overall UK strategy for Health and Safety.
Safety Engagement & Culture: Engaging with members of staff at all levels across the site to improve awareness and commitment to Health and Safety issues.
Audits & Inspections: Managing a regular audit and inspection programme, assessing Health and Safety performance and identifying any areas of improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders including contractors, regulators, and enforcement agencies as required.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience: Proven experience in a similar Health and Safety role, ideally from within a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical or industrial environment.
Qualifications: NEBOSH Certificate (as a minimum), ideally membership of a relevant body (e.g. IOSH) and working towards NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
Knowledge: A good technical knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation.
