Health Economics Manager:

team. This is a full-time, permanent role based at our modern London office in Paddington.

The Health Economics Manager at Takeda UK leads the development and delivery of health economic strategies to support market access for Takeda’s medicines. This includes UK and global responsibilities across multiple therapeutic areas, contributing to HTA submissions (e.g., NICE, SMC), collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting global teams with economic evidence and modelling. The role requires strong technical expertise in health economics, strategic thinking, and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

Your tasks in detail:

Develop and implement local health economic strategies for pipeline products across key therapeutic areas, supporting pricing and access decisions.
Collaborate with global and local teams to shape early health economic models and integrated evidence plans for Takeda’s pipeline.
Lead the economic components of UK HTA submissions (e.g., NICE, SMC, AWMSG), including objection handling and committee representation.
Manage external agencies to deliver high-quality health economic evidence, models, and critiques.
Support advisory boards and stakeholder engagement, including payers, clinicians, and patient groups.
Provide global health economic support for marketed brands, including model updates, localisation, and strategic input to LOCs and regions.
Coordinate with global teams on resource tracking, budget management, and sharing best practices across markets.
Contribute to internal capability building, mentoring, and training on health economics across the organisation.
Represent Takeda at key conferences and public meetings and lead the development of health economics publications and thought leadership.
Support cross-functional teams and leadership, deputising when needed, and staying informed on UK market access developments.

Reports to Head of Appraisals & Pipeline Value Demonstration:

Your profile :

An advanced degree (MSc, PhD, or equivalent) in Health Economics, Economics, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
Minimum of three years of experience in Health Economics or a related field
Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, either in-house or through an agency, including UK-specific experience
Proven experience developing and implementing pharmacoeconomic models and publishing cost-effectiveness analyses
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Experience working effectively within matrix teams
Ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional stakeholders, executive leadership, and external key opinion leaders
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
