Barrington James is partnering with a global pharmaceutical company to appoint a Health Economics Lead to drive the development and execution of health economics strategies that enable patient access and optimise reimbursement pathways across international markets.


This high-impact role blends strategic input with technical delivery, including economic modelling, evidence generation, and global value communication. You’ll operate at the core of cross-functional teams, ensuring market access strategies are informed, aligned, and executed effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of global cost-effectiveness and budget impact models, early economic models, and affiliate model adaptations.
  • Identify key payer/HTA value needs and ensure alignment with integrated evidence generation and access planning.
  • Oversee the development and localisation of core HTA submission models across key affiliate markets.
  • Ensure health economic evidence generation tactics are fit-for-purpose, prioritised, and implemented in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with medical, HEOR, and external experts to refine model structure, inputs, and assumptions.


Key Requirements:

  • Significant experience developing health economic models (CEMs and BIMs) and HTA submissions.
  • Strong understanding of global payer, HTA, pricing, and reimbursement requirements.
  • Proven ability to interpret clinical trial and real-world data for use in economic models.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and engaging diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Health Economics or related field.


Additional Information:

This is a hybrid role requiring occasional on-site presence at a UK office in the Surrey area. Candidates must be based within a commutable distance or willing to travel as needed.
