Lead High-Impact Technical Projects - Head of Live Technical Projects
Shape the Future of Mission-Critical Infrastructure
Are you a seasoned professional with a strong background in commissioning and technical project delivery? Our Client is looking for an exceptional Head of Live Technical Projects to lead a skilled team in delivering complex, high-profile builds.
The Role:
✔ Lead & Deliver: Oversee the technical execution of large-scale infrastructure projects in live environments.
✔ Manage & Mentor: Guide a talented team of six, including a Commissioning Manager and Engineers.
✔ Client Liaison: Serve as the main technical contact, ensuring top-tier client satisfaction.
✔ Maintain Standards: Enforce rigorous compliance with design and commissioning protocols.
✔ Drive Project Success: Handle planning, stakeholder engagement, and on-site operations.
What our Client is looking For:
Commissioning Expert: A proven track record in commissioning is essential.
Leadership Experience: Ability to inspire and direct internal teams and external stakeholders.
Industry Know-How: Strong background in mission-critical infrastructure projects.
Experience in pharmaceutical, oil & gas, or high-tech industrial environments (such as data storage or centres and processing facilities) is highly advantageous, particularly so as you will need a strong understanding of mechanical engineering, design calculations, pipework, and electrical systems.
Sharp Communicator: Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, as you will be part of the Management team and be Client facing
Strategic Thinker: Commercially aware with a forward-thinking mindset.
Qualifications & Experience:
Engineering degree (BEng) in a relevant field.
⚙ Previous experience in a Senior engineering role within mission-critical industries.
Good working knowledge and previous experience of working in a senior leadership position managing large high value (£millions) live technical projects.
